Yubelkis is the oldest of 4 children who came to live at Josiah’s House after their mother passed away. Yubelkis helped to care of her siblings when her mother was ill and endured many difficult things. Yubelkis is a little bit shy, but she is beautiful, has a contagious smile and tender heart. Yubelkis is attending a local adult school to finish her high school education and works part time at Josiah’s House and two other ministries with hospitality and housekeeping. She is also a leader at a camp throughout the year, and she has learned to use her voice to help others and refine her leadership skills. Her dream is to be a flight attendant and work traveling the world! Yubelkis is currently particiapting in Hope Continues which supports Josiah's House kids making the transition from childhood to adulthood and from high school into college, trade school or work.
